From the Communications Department
The Chatting with the Superintendent event scheduled for today (May 9, 2023) is being postponed to Wednesday, May 17. The event will still be held at 4:30 p.m. at Cotter Early Childhood Center, 13020 Osborn St., Dearborn.
Chatting with the Superintendent events are a way for parents, students, community members and staff to talk with Superintendent Dr. Glenn Maleyko and other district administrators who attend the meetings.
By design, Chatting events are less formal than school board meetings, providing an opportunity for interactive conversations on a variety of school-related topics. The May event will be the sixth and final Chatting with the Superintendent for this school year. All parents are welcome to attend any Chatting event, even if their child attends a different school.
“I appreciate the opportunity to talk with our community and provide individuals with the big picture story of our district, to listen to their thoughts and comments, and hopefully to answer any questions they may have for me or our administrative team,” Dr. Maleyko said. “Several years ago, we discovered this relaxed setting allows for good conversations, the sharing of ideas, and a platform that encourages open dialogue. I’m looking forward to bringing back those conversations.”
