Dr. Glenn Maleyko

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

I hope that you are doing well this holiday weekend.  Our schools are closed on the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday but our students are honoring Dr. King and the great work that he did to better this nation by participating in community service projects.  I am very proud of our students for stepping up and organizing the community service projects.  It is a fitting tribute to honor Dr. King’s legacy and provides the students with the chance to interact and support the local community. I want to thank all members of the Superintendent’s student advisory council (SSAC), all student leadership groups that are involved in this project and the staff sponsors for their hard work and dedication to the betterment of the community.  I will post pictures of our students on social media tomorrow evening.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” Martin Luther King Jr.

“I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”. –Martin Luther King, Jr.

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.” –Martin Luther King, Jr.
