I was at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) today as we vaccinated approximately 1000 employees over the course of the past two days. I am very grateful for the support by DMC and this will help to keep our staff, students and the community safe as we return to in person learning for students. In addition, we have had several hundred staff members that received the vaccine through the Wayne County Health Department. I am also grateful to Wayne County for the great support along with the leadership and guidance that has been provided by Wayne County RESA and Dr. Liepa. By this Saturday we will have approximately 1800 staff members vaccinated with at least their first dose.
