This is an awesome accomplishment. Only 13 National Blue Ribbon Awards (NBRA) were given out across the state and 349 throughout the nation. This is the second time in the history of Dearborn Public Schools that one of our schools received this highly sought after and distinguished national award. Last year Becker Elementary received our first ever NBRA recognition.
I want to Congratulate the Principal Dr. Green, Assistant Principal Mr. Baydoun, the Faculty (teachers and non-instructional staff), PTA, parents, students, community members, the Board of Education, and our school district administrators. I am extremely proud of STEM Middle School and Dearborn Public Schools for providing such a high quality of instruction which resulted in the NBRA national recognition.
This is an awesome accomplishment and the recognition that STEM received for going above and beyond the call of duty to support our students and their best interest is nothing short of outstanding. We plan to invite members of the STEM School Community to an upcoming board meeting to celebrate this national recognition. I plan to attend the Blue Ribbon acceptance ceremony in Washington D.C. in November with Principal Green, Assistant Principal Baydoun and another Faculty member.
This is a celebration of the success at STEM and it is also an example of the great team work that is done across the school district with all of our schools serving 21,000 students.
