We had an outstanding Advanced Ed 4 day review. This is very important for our District Accreditation. They were very impressed with our district, highlighted our positive programs/models and they made recommendations for us moving forward. We will post the report and power point when it becomes available.

Dear Superintendent Maleyko and Board President Meade,
Congratulations!
I’m writing to notify you that the Dearborn School District will be honored tomorrow (Tuesday, February 12) as a 2018 Academic State Champion school district by Bridge Magazine.
Only 30 school districts statewide will receive this honor – which will be published tomorrow morning on Bridge’s website.
Your school district and other 2018 Academic State Champs are honored for how much students progress from third to eighth grade, using a Stanford University analysis of more than 500 public school districts in Michigan. The research was part of a national study of millions of students that measured academic performance and a host of socioeconomic data, from income and family structure to income and family education.
We encourage you to share this news with educators, parents, students, the board of education, and local media in your district.
Tomorrow’s report in Bridge also will feature a Compare Your School District tool so educators and parents to compare student growth with neighboring districts, peers, or really any school district across the state.
Finally, we welcome educators and parents in your district to wear your Academic State Champ label with pride. Tomorrow’s report includes a simple way for anyone in your district to receive free Academic State Champs bumper stickers.
Cheers to you!
Sincerely,
John Bebow
