Happy 4th of July Weekend Everyone. Here are a few updates.
We honored former Trustee/Board President Mariam Bazzi for her work in the school district prior to the June 26 Board meeting. We appreciate her time, dedication, and outstanding leadership on the board. We also congratulated her for being appointed a circuit court judge.
Collegiate Academy Students were honored for their achievement of an associate degree and/or college credit. Board Secretary Petlichkoff handed out their certificates and the other Trustees congratulated them with Executive Cabinet Members. Dearborn Public Schools in partnership with Henry Ford College pays for their credit when they enroll and are accepted into a 5 year high school/college program.
Congratulations to Celia Nasser who was appointed to the Dearborn Board of Education and was sworn in with the Oath of Office at the June 26 Board meeting. Thank you to Judge Salamey for leading the oath.
Congratulations to the Amicus Club Scholarship Winners. In addition, the Dearborn Exchange Club honored the Dearborn High, Edsel Ford, and Fordson high school valedictorians at the June 26 Board Meeting.
