I came down with a horrible cold on Thursday but I got through the night while trying to avoid getting too close to people. I could not help myself with the selfies. However, I did give all those who came close to me a disclaimer about that cold. Trustee Hammoud also had a bad cold and was a trooper. I aim to have perfect attendance this year if possible. I only missed a half day last year when my daughter broke her ankle. Sometimes taking a day is unavoidable. I will continue to model good attendance as there is really no time to be sick with my job as the Superintendent of DPS. We are also glad that we could offer employees an attendance incentive again this year to protect classroom instruction.
