I am pleased to announce the following administrative assignments that will be effective July 1, 2016. All of the new assignments are being made in the best interest of the students that we serve. In addition, the assignments are a result of a combination of the following: requests for transfer by administrators, new opportunities for administrators to grow leadership capacity, and thoughtful deliberation by the Cabinet regarding how to best support our outstanding staff as they provide a high quality education for the benefit of our students.
Ms. Fatme Faraj to the position of Director of School Improvement and Leadership Coaching. Ms. Faraj served as principal at Maples Elementary.
Radewin Awada, from Principal at Oakman Elementary to Principal at Miller Elementary.
Mahmoud Abu-Rus, from Principal at Miller Elementary to Principal at Oakman Elementary.
Natasya Shajira, from Assistant Principal at Henry Ford Elementary to Assistant Principal at Maples Elementary.
Raeda Akroush, from Assistant Principal at Maples Elementary to Assistant Principal at William Ford Elementary.
Kamel Bazzi, from Assistant Principal at William Ford Elementary to Assistant Principal at Henry Ford Elementary.
Zeina Jebril, from Assistant Principal at Edsel Ford to Assistant Principal at Dearborn High. This is an additional Assistant Principal position that is being added to Dearborn High due to enrollment.
Khalid Abdulla, from Assistant Principal at Salina Intermediate to Assistant Principal at Edsel Ford High School.
Clayton Burch, from Special Education Coordinator to Assistant Principal at Fordson High School. Mr. Burch will continue to work in the Special Education Department for the remainder of the summer.
The Maples Principal position will be posted soon. In addition, we posted a Special Education Coordinator position along with Assistant Principal positions at multiple locations. The reason we post multiple Assistant Principal positions is due to the chance there may be an opening due to movements or promotions in the summer. We will interview soon for an Assistant Principal position at Salina Intermediate.
The District is very fortunate to have many outstanding and professional administrators that are being assigned to these positions in the best interest of Dearborn students.
