Press Release #56/May 13, 2022

Dearborn Public Schools is hosting another free COVID vaccine and booster clinic on May 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Edsel Ford High School.

C-ASSIST will provide Pfizer vaccinations and boosters to anyone age 5 or older who would like one.  Moderna vaccines and boosters will also be available for adults.  All the vaccines are free.  Gift cards will be given away, and an extra incentive is offered to anyone who registers at bit.ly/dearbornschool.

Edsel Ford High School is at 20601 Rotunda, Dearborn.  Visitors should park in the student lot along Rotunda.

COVID cases in Dearborn have risen some in recent weeks, and the free clinic is an opportunity for students, staff, family members and residents to give themselves extra protection against the virus that is still disrupting lives in the community

.Anyone older than 12 who was already vaccinated against COVID is eligible for a booster five months after their second dose of the initial Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, according to CDC recommendations.  Anyone age 50 or older may get a second booster four months after their third dose (first booster). Those age 12 or older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised are also eligible for a second booster, as are those who live with someone immunocompromised or who are at increased risk of exposure due to their job or activities.
