Weekly Update that Includes: Empty Bowls, Former Detroit Lion Rob Sims at Woodworth, Noor Fahmy Food Drive Presentation at U of M Dearborn, A Visit to the Arab American Museum, ADC Event, Symphony Orchestra Event, Building Visits, and SIP visits.

1. I attended the Art Department’s Empty Bowls Fundraiser on November 23rd where proceeds went to Gleaners Food Bank. It was a great event and I received a great bowl that was created by a Dearborn Public School Student.

2. Former Detroit Lion Rob Sims visited Woodworth on November 20th.  Mr. Sims, stated that you need to work hard and do great things in all aspects of life including, sports, school, family and other events and activities. Woodworth Female Basketball players and Male Football players were honored for their championship seasons.

3. On November 18th I went to the University of Michigan Dearborn to view presentations. Ms. Noor Fahmy who works at McDonald Elementary gave a presentation and won a $2000 grant to support her boxes for humanity food drive idea.

4. On November 16th I visited the Arab American Museum to attend a reception that honored Mike Duggan’s Administrative Appointees Mallak Beydoun, Fayroux Saad, and Abdul El-Sayed.

5. On the eventing of November 13th I attended the ADC gala at Byblos along with the Symphony Orchestra Reception at the Courthouse.

5. School Visits Continue: Since November 13th the schools that I went to for walkthrough visitations or School Improvement Plan(SIP) visits include Whitmore Bolles, Oakman, McCollough-Unis(2), McDonald, Maples, Henry Ford Early College(2), Fordson(2), Dearborn High, Nowlin, Smith(2), Woodworth, William Ford, Edsel and DuVall.  There would have been more visits but the short week for Thanksgiving prevented additional visits.
