Busy Week. 1. Education Foundation Golf Outing 2. Smoke on the Grill 3. Dearborn High Homecoming Parade. 4. Edsel Ford College Fair 5. A visit to Snow School with the Watch Dog program

It was a busy week of activity in the school district and a great first month to start the school year.  Here are some notes from last week. Pictures are posted below.

  1.  Education Foundation FORE golf. We had a great golf outing at the Education Foundation Event.  I want to thank the Co-Chairs Mayor O’Relly, Susan Dabaja and Ali Sayed along with Eddie Fakhoury, Chastity, Tiffany and the entire Education Foundation Board  for their hard work with the Education Foundation Golf Event.  I had a lot of fun with the students especially the Dearborn High Girls Golf Team.  I thought that I hit a beautiful drive in support of the foundation but Jessica(from the golf team) out drove me by 15 yards. The girls were also trying to negotiate some snow days and we are not event into the winter season yet. 2. Smoke on the Grill October 1.  Thank you to the Goodfellows and the PTA for supporting the Smoke on the Grill. Most of the proceeds come back to the PTAs to support the students.
  3. Dearborn High Homecoming:  I enjoyed attending the Dearborn High Homecoming parade and I was able to take a nice picture with the Mascot plus some of my former students from when I was principal at DuVall Elementary.
  4. Edsel College Fair on September 30.  It was great to see so many students attend the College Fair at Edsel Ford.
  5. Watch dogs at Snow on September 30.  Wow What a great showing for the Watchdog program at Snow Elementary. The cafeteria was packed. Thank you to the fathers who are supporting that model.
  6. The Arab American Museum Gala Fundraiser on October 3.
